Morning light can make all things beautiful

Many photographers call the half hour before and after sunrise and sunset “the magic hour.” The slant of light at those times of day do, indeed, make the most ordinary things look magical. Maybe that’s why after a long, hard day, family or friends will say, “Things will look brighter tomorrow.”

Wonderful light still exists several hours beyond sunrise. This shot was taken on a recent frosty morning at about 8:30. I noticed how the sunlight glowed through some of the seed pods, which is what I wanted to capture. I also like the different colors of browns in the bokeh of this photo.
