We had a pretty good freeze the other night. The frozen drops on the grass heads just begged to be photographed the next morning.

I’ve been fascinated again lately with the macro end of my favorite lens – a Sigma DG 70-300mm 1.4-5.6. Not sure why the re-fascination (is that an actual word?). I just know I’m having fun with the whole macro process – slowing down, looking for nature’s beauty in the tiny details.

Happy shooting!

  1. I’m totally with you on the fascination and slower pace of macro photography. One of the things that never ceases to amaze me when I get the photos home is how often there is a spider web filament somewhere in the picture, and just not noticed at the time. Those guys sure get around.

    • Ehpem – yes. I took one shot recently without realizing there was an entire web among the wildflowers. I liked how it turned out, but didn’t expect it.
