So I’d pulled over to take some photos of a barn in the fog (see last post). I turned around and there was a llama and a donkey near the fence bathed in beautiful fog-filtered, morning light.

I talked about the llama and donkey, their loyal friendship and how I’d been longing to get shots of them for ages in earlier posts. I kept this photo and did some post processing because I liked the circular pattern that the blackberry briars made around behind the body of the animal. With the fog and the back/side light, the colors were fairly washed out and all a similar brown, so it made sense to go ahead and tint the photo monochrome. I added my good old standby, the spotlight lens effect, to emphasize the circular pattern.

  1. Amazing photo of a llama, he looks so plump and round. I’d be interested to know what photo processing software you use.
