I’ve been trying to go back through old photo files, dung out the seconds and get the rest organized. It is a slow process…And in the meantime, I keep shooting and adding more files almost daily….

Anyway, this is an old shot, taken about six years ago with an older model Canon PowerShot. The river is the Santiam. The photo was taken on the west side of the Cascade Mountain Pass, which is a beautiful scenic drive any time of year, but with few places to pull over to take photographs.

A friend of mine, Alice, told me she thought the rock looks like a turtle. I’d not noticed it before she said that, but Alice, I believe you’re right.

This photograph won a best of class award at the Benton County Fair the year I took it.
