We are still on the subject of color in photography and how it can affect the mood of the viewer.

I ramped up the pink in post processing on this morning shot, taken last month at Cheadle Lake in Lebanon, Oregon.

The pink seems to lend it an extra dose of tranquility.

  1. This has the feel of a really old photograph. I think the pink might make it more like an old faded kodachrome from the 50’s or 60’s, and the subject matter seems timeless here on the west coast. This scene could be straight out of Ken Kesey’s Sometimes a Great Notion.

    • Thanks Ehpem! What a great compliment. Since I just took the photo recently, I didn’t make the connection with the look of an old photo, but now that you point it out, I see what you mean.
