This clump of ornamental grass grows among the landscaping at our local McDonald’s. It’s attractive year round and gives drive-through customers something to look at.

On my way through the drive up last week to get my kids cheeseburgers and me a cup of coffee, I took a moment to take a few shots. It was a frosty day and the grass heads looked cool.

I had only a few seconds to frame and fire because there were cars behind me. And customers at McDonald’s expect fast food fast, so who am I to hold up that process?

I wish I’d been the last in line and could have taken a few minutes, instead of a few seconds to get a better shot. I would have liked to play around with different points of focus, framing and depth of field.

  1. Who would know that it’s a drive-through shot! 🙂 I have a great flower from the Starbucks!

  2. These yellow browns are my kind of colours 🙂
