This is “Christmas Truck.”

It’s a 1949 Chevrolet short box. My husband decorates the antique pick up with lights every December. Last year it was featured in the Albany Democrat-Herald.

This year many people pulled into the driveway to take pictures, and we saw at least one other truck in town decorated strikingly similar. Both flattered my husband, who spends hours on his light display.

I hope when the visitors took photos they didn’t use their flash and they were able to hold their camera nice and steady with the assistance of their car roof or window.

I took this shot last year and used our gate to hold my camera steady through the slow shutter speed required.

My husband is out braving the downpours today to finish putting lights on our old truck. This is what it will look like when he’s finished.
