These very small mushrooms were growing in colonies atop large rocks. The boulders edged a grooved, paved, mossy boat launch to the Santiam River at a Linn County park in Oregon.

I wanted to capture the slick and shiny texture of the mushrooms. But they were growing in dark crevices on the moss-topped rocks.  It took a 1600 ISO and many attempts to get this shot.
