This dragonfly kept landing on a stick alongside Cheadle Lake one day in early fall. But every time I’d get the little bugger focused, off it would fly again. Finally it paused long enough that I could get this photo.

I tried cropping the image, but I kept going back to this, straight out of the camera. If truth be known, I like the background bokeh and hated to lose any of it.

Don’t dragonflies have the greatest eyes? I like how this one has catch light in his.
