Just for the cuteness factor, I wish this shot had made it into the paper. But also for the unique aspect – this young boy rode his trusty donkey in a horse play day. And won a big red, rosette ribbon!

The play day event was a fundraiser for the Scio Buckaroos, the same event I was covering when I took the two shots that I posted on Friday.

This boy and his family live in Crabtree, Oregon. Yes, that really is the name of a town.

I do wish I hadn’t cut their feet off when framing the shot.
