I photographed this little shed on a recent morning alongside Cheadle Lake in Lebanon, Oregon. The way the sun was shining on it caught my eye.

I’m glad I took pictures when I did. When  I went back two days later, the shed had been torn down and was just a pile of rubble.

This shot looks fine in color. But it’s kind of fun and retro-looking in black & white. It’s a pretty good example of the old photography composition adage, “Something near, something far.”
