Portrait of a goshawk. Amazing I could get close enough to get such a clear shot, huh?

Actually, this bird is in captivity.

I took the photo a few years ago while at a gathering at a friend’s house. One of their friends was a falconer and had this goshawk with him to show the kids. The background stripes are created by a white vinyl fence.

Too bad about the blown-out highlight on the bird’s head. But not a bad photo. It was taken with a Canon SureShot.
