I haven’t posted for a couple of days – the stomach flu swept through our household. But we’re all healthy and I’m back.

I’d like to next share a couple photos I took on Valentine’s Day. This is my beautiful daughter on Leo the paint. My daughter was practicing barrel racing – she entered her first rodeo in February. I posted some photos from that on my Facebook page.

It was dark in the arena, but there was this single, beautiful circle of light. My objective was to capture the two of them as they entered the circle. Of the photos I took, this one turned out best. I like it better in monotone than color – the black and white horse, the contrast of light with the darkness.

As always, comments are welcome and appreciated.

  1. I am by no means a photographer but I truly love the light in this shot — it gives the eye so much to look at and absorb various aspects. The markings on the horse work really well, the light and dark, love it.
