I took this photo through the windshield of our pickup at the Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon last month.

These cattle aren’t Longhorns, they’re Watusi (I think that’s how it’s spelled anyway!).

If I cropped out the tail light on the vehicle that was in front of us, it would look as though these cattle were wandering along a rural road in a free range area, wouldn’t it? I left the bit of car in the shot to give a sense of how we were seeing things – the real story behind the photo.

  3. There was a ranch in Florida, when my parents were still snow-birding, that had cattle like this, always wondered what the heck they were!
