I am in love with this photo.

I love the composition, the subject matter, the muted colors with the bits of brighter yellow and green. But most of all I like the way these three goats are all lined up as if ready to perform rural quality control or something.

This is today’s second example of how well the number three works for subjects in a photograph. Would this shot have been as strong with only two goats? I think not.

I took this photo in March at Triangle J Farms in Albany, Oregon. I’ve posted several photos from my two visits to Joe and Julie’s farm. It’s a very fun place to visit and rub elbows with cute and friendly animals.

  1. Ya just gotta love those ears!

  2. So true, Lilly. Nubians are my favorite goat breed because of those ears!

  3. “Bella, then Fawn, and Fawn’s Daughter, Holly. Fawn has since given us Triplets, and Holly a single girl. Bella is also expecting (soon!)” Wrote Julie of Triangle J Farm on my Facebook link.
