I’m posting a couple of Western images today (Thursday) and scheduling them to run this weekend while I’m away at a women’s writing retreat. Yee-haw! I am so looking forward to being with fellow writers, comparing notes and working on final revisions to my suspense novel, “Mist.”

As for this photo – I took it a few years ago at Gorham’s Bucking Bulls in Lebanon, Oregon. My daughter and son-in-law rode bulls there.

This isn’t any spectacular photo, but there is something I love about it – the colors maybe, the peeling paint on the post, the shadow from the roll of barbed wire, or perhaps it’s the out-of-focus cattle in the background.

What do you like best about this shot?
