Still featuring my beautiful cowgirl daughter, as I have in the past two posts.

This shot was part of her senior portrait session. As a photographer Mom, I got the honor of taking my daughter’s senior photos as well as her wedding photos two years ago.

This photo won a second-place award in the professional portrait category of the Benton County Fair a few summers ago.

Recently I entered it in a special category through my photography club – Meterite, in Salem, Oregon. (For more on Meterite Camera Club, click here.) The category was Sweet, Smooth, Curvy. These special category competitions are open to individual interpretations.

It took second place, which pleased me – there are some amazingly talented photographers and post-processors in our club. One judge commented on how much he liked the shadow play on my daughter’s hat.

  1. I like the sun on her arms too. The line of her jaw under the hat. I bet she’s dynamite in a quiet package. 🙂
