This is my 311th post and I’ve had over 10,000 views since I started this blog in October. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to look at my images. I wouldn’t be doing this if it weren’t for all of you!

As for today’s image, this beach shot is another that I took during my writers’ retreat weekend before last.

The figures on the beach are two of the five writers. The woman to the left is my good friend, Paty Jager who writes romance and adventure novels. Check out her blog by clicking here. She’s doing a blog tour this week to celebrate the release of her newest book, Spirit of the Sky which is the last in the Spirit trilogy. The Spirit books are historical western romances with paranormal elements. Anyone who enjoys Native American history will love these books.

The figure on the beach to the right is a new acquaintance, Ella Zane. She is writing the first book in a mystery series.

The rock in the background is called Proposal Rock. It’s located in Pacific City. The story is that young couples together scale the rock. Once they reach the top the young man takes a knee and proposes.

The young lovers must approach the rock at low tide. I wonder how many couples have been stuck on top of the rock because the tide snuck in while they were preoccupied with diamond rings and the like?

Mmmm… sounds like fodder for a short romantic tale, doesn’t it?
