This is George. He was “helping” my friend Paty saddle her horse, Bud.

This scene happened during a photo shoot I was doing for Farm & Ranch Living magazine.

George’s owner – my friend Paty Jager – kept a month-long diary about her and her husband’s life and I took the photos to illustrate the diary. The Jagers own a ranch in Central Oregon and another in Eastern Oregon. Paty writes contemporary and historical Western romance novels and is branching out into writing action adventures and mysteries. You can click here for a story Paty wrote about Bud and George and for more info on her books.

Anyway, back to the assignment – the magazine didn’t use this photo of George when the piece it was published last May. But it seemed worth sharing here.

Humor. It tends to strike unexpectedly. Is your camera poised, set and ready?

  1. Definitely worth sharing. I could’ve used his help when I was washing my car this weekend.
