Here’s another example of “something near, something far.” Using a barn again, as in yesterday’s post as the far subject. (Click here to see yesterday’s barn shot in the fog).

In this photo, it’s a cow parsnip and barbed wire as the near subjects. Without something near, there is little feeling of depth or perspective to a photograph.

This evening, I’ll post a vertical shot of this same scene for comparision.
