It’s been a crazy day – running here, running there; three assignments and a kids’ birthday party. So I’m very late in posting a photo today.

This one was taken two or three months ago. I spotted this incredible moon late one afternoon while driving in Lebanon, Oregon. My two little boys were with me, so they helped with this shot.

We drove and “drug” the moon with us until we came to a scenic area without too many distractions (I do wish the power lines weren’t in the shot).

My kindergartener saw the moon over the mountain and shouted, “Here, Mom! Stop!” from the backseat.

I quick pulled over and fired a couple of frames. I put the shot through some lighting and color filters to come up with this.

“Dragging” works with rainbows as well as moons. You have to do your dragging and photography work fairly quickly, before the moon or rainbow vanishes. Give it a try!

Happy Friday!

The pattern of the moon is the same as Japan.”
