Isn’t this a pretty blossom? Most often, blackberry blossoms are white, with maybe a pinkish tinge. But sometimes, such as in this case, they bloom with a pretty pink blush.

It might have something to do with the amount of sunlight the plant is exposed to. Not sure. I just thought this blossom and surrounding buds would make an attractive composition. So here it is.

  1. Susan (a retired chef) wrote on my Facebook link: “Love ’em! especially in pies!!!”

  2. Yes the blackberry is pretty but it is invasive and more prickly than a rose. The rain in Western Washington has left our little farm with an abundance of black berries and the bears are just waiting for them to ripen.

  3. Very pretty and the berries are yummy!
