I love harvest time. The golden colors, the farmers working the land, even the dusty haze, which enriches late summer and fall sunsets.

I’ve always been drawn to the lines and patterns formed when the grass is cut, drying and waiting for the combines or balers to come along and finish the job.

This scene was shot on Stoltz Hill Road, just outside Jefferson Oregon.

My camera club’s special category for competition this month is “lines and patterns.” I entered this shot, among others.

Happy harvest season to you all!
