Since Lilly, and some other ladies, didn’t like my ugly bug post from yesterday, here are some flowers. Taken alongside the same lake as the bug photo.

I took the photo in mid-summer.

I haven’t been taking as many photos lately. I fluctuate back and forth between writing and photography. I’m a creative person and have to be creating to feel whole and happy. But I’ve been so wrapped up in fiction writing lately – I’m getting ready to launch my thriller novel MIST next month and I’ve also been working on a new piece of fiction.

The creative section of my brain is full, busy and satisfied. But as a result my photography is suffering.

Do any of you other creatives experience something similar?

  1. omg totally experience what you do! When I focus on photography mostly, my children’s book writing suffers, and vice versa. It’s good to take a photography break when you’re not feeling it! So totally understand you..when I try to force the photography mood, I feel like I lack the oomph! good luck 🙂

  2. It is so true, isn’t it Doodling? Glad to hear I’m not the only one! Good luck with all your projects. Each in their own time…
