What’s in that Tree?

This shot was taken seven years ago. It was the day Rick and I got married. There was freezing fog which made everything look like a brilliant, twinkling Christmas card.

Rick’s cousin and his wife went with us to the Tangent, Oregon courthouse as our witnesses. On the way back to our house we made a stop to gather some mistletoe which grows wild around here. Mostly in big oak trees like this one.

Scot scaled the tree and I took this photo. I purposely made the foreground the focal point to give the shot an artsy edge.

What I like is when you first glance at the photograph, you don’t immediately see the person in the tree. But then you do and so you look closer.
