I took this photo Friday morning while returning home after a magazine shoot by way of back country roads.

I’m often attracted to the beauty of hand-built, wooden-post fences. Usually there is nowhere safe or handy to pull over when I spot a good fence photo opp. But this section of fence I could not resist. It had so much character already with the wavy lines of posts and wire, that the ice crystals just added another layer of interest.

Beauty is all around us.

  1. Excellent capture! I can almost feel the cold.

  2. […] I took this photo Friday morning. It was a frozen world outside and I pulled my truck over in the middle of a country road to take a photo of an interesting section of frosted fence line (click here for that shot). […]

  3. Wonderful capture! I love the detail and the tone.
