I love black and white photos.

I’m not sure if it’s because of the bygone eras that they evoke, or what. Although I wonder if the root may be the black and white TV I grew up watching…Fodder for another post someday there.

So, okay, this photo is technically sepia, not black and white. But for all sense and purposes of the next few posts I plan to lump all monochrome tints together.

The shot I’m sharing today is from a senior photo shoot I did earlier this month. And, I’m proud to call this lovely young lady my niece. We headed outside at 8:00 a.m. to take advantage of the beautiful morning light. This shot is also nice in color. But I think the sun-dappling makes for an effective black and white shot. Don’t you?
